Only half of the audience could see what was being discussed. The demo would benefit from a video monitor for all to see. The model chosen was a tall, blonde. Most of us were not. So colors recommended we’re not necessarily good for the majority. There was a lot of material covered. We could not take notes - perhaps 8 pens provided for 20 people. So et the e ds of the spoken sentences decreased in volume and became inaudible. We were (graciously) given some giveaways. However, not one corresponded to the demonstrated products.

I was appalled by the makeup session. They promoted a brand that has no diversity of colors for anyone darker than "slightly white". She kept referring to the desire of "porcelain skin", which coupled with the awful lack of shade diversity felt like a slap in the face. Ignoring the makeup brand, the artistry itself was not that impressive, I've learned more from a YouTube video.

I didn’t find chantelle’s Lesson helpful at all. It felt like an Ad for cle de peau products. The model was already beautiful & didn’t need makeup. When you’re teaching a class of older ladies it would nice to have an older model. Also a woman of color rather than a blonde woman.. I felt out of place!

Love the master class! Definitely learned a lot. Only critique is that it was advertised as “summer makeup” and it seemed like it was more of a Smokey eye (which may be a personal opinion but I don’t find so much as summer). Thank you so much!
